Afternoon Delight: Rutgers-WVU to Kick-off at 12
Rutgers will hope to catch Noel Devine and the Mountaineers still asleep on December 5th
The Big East Conference has announced that the Rutgers-West Virginia season finale will kickoff from Rutgers Stadium at 12 noon, on Saturday, December 5th.
Rutgers final three games look like this:
11/21 @ Syracuse 3:30 ESPN 360
11/27 @ Louisville 11:00 AM ESPN2
12/5 West Virginia 12:00 PM ESPN/ESPN2
For what it's worth, this year's gametimes for Rutgers have been absolutely horrible. Of course the football game is the main attraction, but tailgating has become a monumental part of college football tradition. Of Rutgers 7 home games, 3 have fallen on off-nights (Cincinnati, Pitt, USF), and now a 12:00 season finale. At least Rutgers fans will be able to make it home or to the bars to see the SEC Championship, and the Big East Championship games.
****Update: Rutgers fans won't be able to see the Big East title decided between Cincinatti and Pitt as that game has been given a 12:00 kickoff opposite Rutgers. Nice work Big East and ESPN, a real bang-up job there****
