Around the Web (Tuesday Edition)
Not too much going on with Rutgers gearing up for Saturday's Scarlet-White game at Rutgers Stadium. RU was on the practice field today after Saturday's scrimmage in which Schiano said the team did not "throw or catch very well". Wise words indeed.
- Tom Luicci examines the offensive side of the ball going into Saturday's game and says there are lots of questions, but not many answers at this point.
- Speaking of questions, no unit on this team is a bigger question mark than the wide receivers. Tuesday's practice saw many new faces taking a shot at the wide-out spot.
- The weather for Saturday's game looks like it will be fantastic. Want to attend the game for free? Mycentraljersey.com has your chance to win tickets.
I'm excited for Saturday's game if only to get the blood flowing for Rutgers football and it's fan again. I understand that the Scarlet-White game is nothing but a glorified scrimmage, but it gives us an opportunity to see the skeleton of the team that we'll be watching this fall. I'm espcecially excited to see how Natale composes and directs this team as the 1st team signal caller, and to see how much work Martinek gets in the backfield.
