With the 25th Overall Selection, The Miami Dolphins Select....
Chris Chambers was the last Dolphin to go for 1,000+ yards...
Kenny Britt-Wide Receiver-Rutgers University.
There you have it ladies (if any actually read this blog) and gentlemen, my personal mock draft has Kenny Britt headed south to the Miami Dolphins. As I reported yesterday there's been a lot of talk about Britt to the Ravens, and even the Giants, but I don't think that he gets past Parcells and the Phins at #25.
Think about it, when's the last time that your favorite team played against the Dolphins and you were worried about the air attack? I know being a Bills fan, and seeing them twice a year, I've never really feared their downfield passing. They do have some young talent (Ted Ginn Jr., Davone Bess), but no clear cut #1 type receiever. Since the 2000 season, the Miami Dolphins have only once (Chris Chambers in 2005) had a receiver go over the 1,000 yard barrier. Surprisingly, Miami ranked 10th overall last season in passing offense (which can somewhat be attributed to the Wildcat Formation which skewed the stats with their big play propensity), but showed in the playoff loss to the Ravens that they sorely lacked the ability to stretch the field vertically.
With Jersey guy Bill Parcells at the helm, I think the Dolphins jump at the chance to get themselves a big, physical WR, and Kenny Britt becomes the first ever Rutgers player to be a first round draft choice.

Interesting
Lots of Fin Fans at ThePhinsider.com agree with you about Kenny Britt. Call me a homer, but besides Crabtree I think Britt is the best WR in the draft, at least the safetest.
However I must point out Ginn tourched the Bills for 175 yds last year.
I also do not think the Fins will go after a WR in round 1 given Parcells draft history, and many feel the Fins have bigger holes to fill before WR. The Fins do have Brandon London, who has become a fan favorite and has the potential to play like a Britt and be a great starter, but again its a Fan Favorite thing.
Miami most likely will go OLB at 25. If a 1st round grade OLB is not available, I am not sure where they go, Butler I think is a stretch for pick 25 and Vontae Davis is IMO a bust waiting to happen. But if Britt is there I pray to God if the Fins pick WR they go Britt instead of Nicks.

Good points
Don’t remind me of Ginn torching the Bills, I remember it well haha.
If not to the Phins at #25 K2, where do you see him falling?

too bad...
a local team didnt select K. Britt…being a Jets fan, I wanted him badly but didnt think we fit in where we were in the 1st or 2nd rnd to select him…trading down from 1 would have been to risky and obviously we moved both those picks to take Sanchez in the end…I thought the Giants were gonna nab him at 29 but they went with Nicks. This made my Giant/RU fan friends quite upset. I think the Titans got one hell of a player. All the best K. Britt. Good Luck in the NFL.
