, the award supports individuals or teams proposing transformative projects that are inherently risky and untested but havethe potential to create or overturn fundamental paradigms and may require very large budgets.

The NIH Director’s Transformative Research Award (R01 mechanism), established in 2009, supports exceptionally innovative and/or unconventional research projects withthe potential to create or overturn fundamental paradigms. Multiple Principal Investigators and large budget applications are welcome. Though the application uses the standard R01 application, the requested information is very different from the standard R01. No detailed experimental plan or preliminary data are required. In the “Research Strategy” component, the investigators are asked to describe the challenge or problem being addressed, why it is important, and why the proposed approaches to addressing this major challenge or problem are unusually innovative. In addition, the investigators are asked to use the “Specific Aims” component to distill their proposal into a one-page summary in which they explicitly address the challenge, innovation, and impact of what they propose and the rationale of their approach.

The NIH Director’s Transformative Research Award is part of the Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program , which was created to accelerate the pace of biomedical discoveries by supporting exceptionally creative scientists with highly innovative research. The program seeks to identify scientists with high-impact ideas that may be risky or at a stage too early to fare well in the traditional peer review process. The program encourages creative, outside-the-box thinkers to pursue exciting and innovative ideas in any area of biomedical research relevant to the NIH mission . The program houses three additional awards – the NIH Director’s Pioneer Award , NIH Director’s New Innovator Award , and NIH Director’s Early Independence Award – andis managed by the Office of the Director in partnership with other component NIH Institutes and Centers.

Note that PostMessage() in the JavaScript interface is asynchronous, meaning JavaScript execution will not be blocked while HandleMessage() is processing the message.

When converting JavaScript arrays, any object properties whose name is not an array index are ignored. When passing arrays and objects, the entire reference graph will be converted and transferred. If the reference graph has cycles, the message will not be sent and an error will be logged to the console.

Example:

The following JavaScript code invokes HandleMessage , passing the instance on which it was invoked, with message being a string Var containing "Hello world!"

Refer to PostMessage() for sending messages to JavaScript.

Init() initializes this instance with the provided arguments.

This function will be called immediately after the instance object is constructed.

Michael Antonio Darn Velvet 5gIhZ
determines if the instance is full-frame (repr).

Such an instance represents the entire document in a frame rather than an embedded resource. This can happen if the user does a top-level navigation or the page specifies an iframe to a resource with a MIME type registered by the module.

Logs the given message to the JavaScript console associated with the given plugin instance with the given logging level.

The name of the plugin issuing the log message will be automatically prepended to the message. The value may be any type of Var .

Logs a message to the console with the given source information rather than using the internal PPAPI plugin name.

The name must be a string var.

The regular log function will automatically prepend the name of your plugin to the message as the "source" of the message. Some plugins may wish to override this. For example, if your plugin is a Python interpreter, you would want log messages to contain the source .py file doing the log statement rather than have "python" show up in the console.

PostMessage() asynchronously invokes any listeners for message events on the DOM element for the given instance.

A call to PostMessage() will not block while the message is processed.

The instance then invokes PostMessage() as follows:

Poor Diet

Consuming too little food, going for long periods without enough to eat or having nutrient deficiencies can contribute to hypoglycemia. Fad-dieting/crash-dieting can also cause symptoms, since these usually involve eating smallmeals or skipping meals altogether. Some studies have found that, overall, insufficient food consumption was theNo. 1most common cause identified for severe hypoglycemia episodes. Referred to as “impaired counter-regulatory mechanisms,” this essentially means that not paying attention to your own signs of hunger can sometimes cause severe hypoglycemia symptoms.

Diabetes Medications

Diabetics are often treated with medications to offset theirresistance to insulin’s normal effects — in other words to lower high blood sugar. Clinicaltrials have found that attempts to use insulin and glucose medications to achieve aggressive healthy blood sugar levels is associated with a threefold increase in the risk of hypoglycemia symptoms. This hypoglycemic effect is now considered by many experts to be a big problem, even “counter-balancing the benefits of intensive glucose control,” according to the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism .Medications that can contribute to hypoglycemia include chlorpropamide (Diabinese),glimepiride (Amaryl),glipizide (Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL),repaglinide (Prandin),sitagliptin (Januvia) and metformin.

Medications Used to Treat Other Diseases

When some medications are combined with insulin, they can lower blood sugar too much. These include pramlintide (Symlin) and exenatide (Byetta).

Increased Physical Activity

Over-exercising and overtraining or not eating something after exercise can cause low blood sugar. Muscles use up glucose in the blood or stored glycogen to repair themselves, so it’s important to refuel after workouts in order to prevent symptoms.

Other Health Problems

Base London Freeman V6Bz4ypXds
autoimmune disorders, eating disorders, organ failure or tumors that affect hormone levels can all affect the way insulin is released, glucose is taken up into cells and glycogen is stored.

Hormone imbalances,

Alcohol

Alcohol raises blood sugar, but afterward levels can fall too low.

Enzyme Deficiencies

Certain metabolic factors can make it hard to break down glucose properly or for the liver to release glycogen when needed.

High Levels of Stress

Stress can elevate Blackstone JL21 Low Rise Sneaker Womens LSaTn
, which interferes with how insulin is used.

The Clarifai API supports many languages in addition to English. When making a predict api request , you can pass in the language you would like the concepts returned in.

The only public model which supports languages other than English is the General model . If you make a predict request using a language other than English on a public model other than General, you will receive an error.

When you create a new Application, you must specify a default language. This will be the default language concepts are returned in when you do not explicitly set a language in an API request. You cannot change the default language. You can however change languages per request.

You can predict concepts in a language other then the Application's default, by explicitly passing in the language. Here is how you predict concepts in Chinese:

Show All

You can search for concepts in other languages even if the default language of your application is English. When you add inputs to your application, concepts are predicted for every language. Here is an example of searching for '人' which is simplified Chinese for 'people'.

You can also search for concepts in a different language:

Clarifai’s Apple SDK enables machine learning directly on your device, bypassing the traditional requirement of internet connectivity and extensive computing power. It makes it easy to use image and video recognition on device and in real-time.

The Apple SDK is currently available in Public Preview. You can get more information on installing the sdk here.

The SDK is built around a simple idea. You give inputs (images) to the library and it returns predictions (concepts). You need to add inputs to make predictions on it, and/or to train custom models using the inputs as training data.

The sections below will showcase how to add Inputs on your device and tag them with concepts in order to train a custom model.

All inputs are created from a DataAsset object in the Apple SDK. A Data Asset is a container for the asset in question, plus metadata related to it. You can create a DataAsset initialized with an Image on Device or from a URL as shown in the example below.
